Software Test Analyst 3 - Quality Analyst

Location: Lansing MI (2 days per week onsite)

Duration: 1 year with possible extension.

Interview: in-person only

Description

1. Identify test requirements from user stories and acceptance criteria, create detailed test plans and test cases in Azure DevOps (ADO) according to State of Michigan standards (SUITE) and collaborate with stakeholders for review and approval.
2. Coordinate and analyze feedback from other reviewers. Collaborate and negotiate with the project managers and analyst to create appropriate resolutions. Review all acceptance criteria.
3. Coordinate with project managers, analysts, and developers to understand requirements and clarify any gaps before testing begins.
4. Review and approve test artifacts. Identify and automate candidates. 5. Perform thorough manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
6. Log and track bugs in ADO, coordinate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
7. Document all test results, test data, and test evidence in an organized and accessible manner.
8. Prepare and deliver demos of completed work items, create presentations to communicate testing outcomes to stakeholders.
9. Investigate and help debug production issues by reviewing logs, test scenarios, and application behavior.
10. Perform basic API testing using tools like SoapUI and understand API structures such as endpoints, methods, and response formats.
11. Ability to handle and switch between multiple projects with minimal supervision.
12. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
13. Identifying and initiate continuous process improvement.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- 5 + years' experience using Selenium, Provar, or other automation testing tools.
- 5 + years' experience with manual testing.
- Knowledge and experience with Java.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
