Tax SME (U.S. & International Tax Audit Support)
Location: Remote
Duration: 2 - 2.5 months
Work Hours: EST

Scope of Work
The Tax SME will provide subject matter expertise on U.S. and international tax regulations, including indirect taxes, VAT, and stamp duties, while assisting with audit execution. The SME will partner with the audit team to:
  • Define a risk-focused audit scope.
  • Develop audit testing strategies.
  • Assist with test execution.
  • Assess tax risk impact of audit exceptions.
Key Areas of Tax Focus
  • U.S. IRW: Withholding & remittance requirements for Global Banking and Markets transactions.
  • Non-U.S. IRW: Withholding & remittance requirements.
  • Non-U.S. Indirect Tax: Calculation & remittance obligations.
  • Global Markets: Non-U.S. dividend and coupon interest withholding.
Resource Criteria
  • Proven subject matter expertise in:
    • U.S. consumer tax laws (information reporting, withholding, tax calculation).
    • International tax areas (indirect tax, VAT, stamp duties, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with tax requirements tied to forms 1042-S, 1099, 1099-R , etc.
  • Strong udit experience with skills in risk assessment, audit execution, and high-quality documentation.
  • Solid project management abilities to manage scope, timelines, and deliverables.
