Genesis is hiring 1st Class Shipfitters for our shipbuilding client at their Pascagoula, MS facility.
$1,000 Sign-on Bonus and 40 Hours of PTO Accrual

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of 1st Class Shipfitter experience
  • Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
  • Read and interpret blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
  • Knowledge of the layout, fit-up and fabrication of steel plate and beam.
  • Experience with various trade specific tools such as: grinder, hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jack, chain fall and/or come-a-long, combination square, framing square, hand level and plumb bob
  • Experience with blueprint reading
Drug Screen and 7 year background check required
  • Location: Pascagoula, MS
  • Duration: Initially 1 year
  • Base Pay Range: $38.00 per hour
  • Per Diem $180 per day, must be 75 miles away. Must have proof of utility bills in your name.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
