Gen AI + Teamcenter Solution Architect

Santa Clara, CA (Onsite) Contract $70/hour

Lead the integration of Generative AI capabilities with Siemens Teamcenter PLM to transform product lifecycle management and drive innovation across enterprise systems.

A global technology services firm is seeking a Gen AI + Teamcenter Solution Architect to design, implement, and optimize advanced PLM solutions enhanced with Generative AI. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Siemens Teamcenter architecture with hands-on experience integrating AI technologies to improve automation, decision-making, and data-driven design processes.

This role is 100% onsite in Santa Clara, CA.

Position Overview

The Solution Architect will serve as a key technical leader, overseeing the design and deployment of Teamcenter PLM solutions that incorporate AI-driven capabilities such as intelligent design, simulation, and manufacturing optimization. This position requires 15+ years of experience in PLM systems, with at least 2-3 years working directly on Generative AI integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy Teamcenter PLM solutions integrated with Generative AI tools to enhance design automation, analytics, and process efficiency.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business and engineering teams to define and translate business needs into technical requirements and AI use cases.
  • AI Integration: Implement and optimize Generative AI capabilities-such as NLP, data modeling, and machine learning-within Teamcenter workflows.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical guidance across development, configuration, and deployment teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Data Management & Analytics: Manage data flow and integration between Teamcenter and AI platforms, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and performance.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate and enhance PLM operations using AI-driven insights and predictive analytics.
  • Training & Enablement: Support end-users and technical teams by delivering documentation, training, and best practices for Teamcenter-AI adoption.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal engineering teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT or engineering, with extensive expertise in Teamcenter PLM architecture.
  • 2-3+ years of experience implementing or integrating Generative AI solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Teamcenter modules such as BMIDE, workflow development, and change management.
  • Strong programming proficiency in ITK, C, C++, Java, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with database administration, server setup, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, NLP, and AI frameworks and their application in enterprise systems.
  • Proven track record in technical project management, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical functions.
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience working on AI-driven PLM modernization projects or intelligent automation initiatives.
  • Exposure to data science tools and AI platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or LangChain).
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle data models and digital thread concepts.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional global teams.
