Position Overview
The Salesforce Practice Director for Wholesale Banking will spearhead a dynamic team comprised of both direct reports and cross-functional resources to drive significant initiatives throughout the organization. This influential role requires exceptional relationship management and the ability to engage stakeholders across various levels of the company, including senior leaders in business lines, marketing, technology, and external partners.
This position will oversee a talented team of Product Owners, Developers, Solutions Architects, and Analysts to advance Atlantic Union's technology modernization agenda. Collaborating closely with business leaders, you will craft and propel the evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem, which includes Salesforce CRM and nCino capabilities.
Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of the competition and market trends, you will leverage your strong portfolio management skills to ensure the successful execution of deliverables while enhancing customer experience through strategic initiatives. This role requires expertise in change management, virtual team leadership, design-centered thinking, and digital process management in order to influence cross-functional teams toward achieving shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Salesforce engineers and architects to help each Line of Business create and implement digital strategies and roadmaps that align with their goals.
- Evaluate external digital sales and service platforms and recommend potential partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital innovations for strategic advantages while defining essential capabilities for success.
- Develop and execute business cases and requirements to drive outcomes.
- Guide multi-disciplinary teams in shaping and implementing digital strategies and initiatives.
- Incorporate customer/client and advisor/employee feedback into product features to ensure alignment with business objectives and our architectural roadmap.
- Establish and manage goals and key performance indicators to track success.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support acquisition efforts, product positioning, and the promotion of wholesale products and services.
- Present data-driven strategies and recommendations to senior management to foster alignment and support.
- Prioritize product requirements and synchronize release plans with IT and key stakeholders.
- Serve as the main business contact for implementation activities, working diligently to meet project milestones.
- Direct complex projects, identify key stakeholders, and encourage active participation.
Organizational Structure
This role reports directly to the CIO for Wholesale Banking.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- At least 10 years of experience within the financial services industry.
- 5+ years in Digital Sales and Digital Servicing experience.
- A minimum of 10 years in a people management role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional customer experience and user interaction skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with presentation skills.
- Extensive program management and leadership experience.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for building and leading executive-level presentations.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing strategic plans and executing them successfully.
- Proven track record in developing product roadmaps and guiding successful implementations.
- Outstanding interpersonal and management skills; adept at collaborating across multifunctional teams.
- Strong ability to motivate diverse, cross-functional teams toward success without direct authority.
Salary will be determined based on various factors, including education, experience, and certifications. This position also qualifies for incentive compensation or a discretionary profit-sharing program. More information about our benefits package can be found on our careers page.
