Job Summary and QualificationsWe are looking for a Radiology Technologist who can efficiently perform radiography procedures and evaluate radiographs for technical quality, adhering to protocols established by our staff radiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures and ensure high-quality film production.
- Minimize film artifacts and maintain cleanliness of cassettes.
- Document all procedures and stat reads per departmental procedures.
- Gather patient histories and assist radiologists in providing a comforting environment.
- Notify supervisors of required supplies from the storeroom or vendors.
- Demonstrate the capability to power down radiology equipment and reboot systems as needed.
Education: High School Graduate (or GED) required; completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
Experience: Completion of ongoing training and competencies related to patient needs.
Licenses and Certifications:
- ARRT (R) or registry eligible.
- Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program.
- Current BLS certification.
