Information Systems Security Officer

The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to the Army. In all of this "cyber noise," how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is an information security risk specialist like you who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you'll use your experience to work with the Army client and mission partners to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You'll review technical and personnel details from SMEs and engineers to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, whitepapers, and milestones.

As an Information Assurance or Cybersecurity Specialist at Booz Allen, you'll identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer's cybersecurity needs and goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. You will advise on new techniques and guide the team through critical approaches to design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and operational needs.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with information systems security
• Experience with DCSA and DAAPM
• Experience with DoD security policies, including STIGs and IAVA, and with NISPOM, NIST 800-53, and ICD 503
• Experience with security assessment tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, and ACAS or Nessus
• Experience in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2018/2022 operating systems, and creating and overseeing Risk Management Framework (RMF) System Security Plans in eMASS
• Knowledge of RMF and Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS)
• Knowledge of Windows integration into Microsoft Active Directory, PKI, and Group Policies
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor's degree
• DoD 8570 or 8140 IAM Level III Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience implementing security controls for both Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of a government SIPRNet system
• Ability to adopt a holistic approach to security, ensuring overall security posture and contributing to team success

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
