Shipping Warehouse Associate Job Summary:

  • Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations by contributing to a positive customer experience.
  • Learn and navigate the warehouse/yard layout, bin location system, and product Etna stocks.
  • Handle all materials, products, and equipment with care to prevent damage.
  • Accurately gather and assemble materials for shipment or counter pick-up.
  • Verify work to prevent shipping and inventory errors.
  • Clearly mark all outgoing products with the customer's name and carton count.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Properly stage all completed orders in designated shipping areas.
  • Assist with general housekeeping and upkeep of the warehouse and yard.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of plumbing and/or waterworks products with a strong understanding of product applications.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and stress management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adapting easily to changing situations.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Eclipse software is a plus.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma; or
  • Six months warehouse experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

  • Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to talk, hear walk, sit, stand, push, pull, carry, grasp, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, reach; and lift 50 lbs occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to fulfill the essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, depth perception, and color vision.
  • Work performed mostly inside but do have to go outside at times with possible exposure to extreme weather.
