As a Senior Graphics Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of technology, designing and developing vital training systems, such as the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. You'll create real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems that include submarine periscope simulations, submarine bridge simulations, and ship weapons simulations. This state-of-the-art visual simulation is crucial for various training programs utilized by the U.S. Navy. All development is conducted in a Linux environment, using C++ and OpenGL, along with the Unreal graphics engine and other advanced software packages.

We seek candidates with an advanced degree or relevant ongoing education in computer science or a strong foundation in advanced math or physics. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in 3D Game Development, Visual Modeling and Simulation, VR/XR Development, multi-threading, GPU shader programming and optimization, as well as data visualization techniques.

Required Education & Experience

  • Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment).

  • Skills: A minimum of 10 years of experience in application development using C++. At least 8 years of experience in Game/3D Simulation programming, 3D graphics development, or similar visual simulation systems. Familiarity with a graphics engine such as Unreal, OpenSceneGraph, or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience developing software in a Linux environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Education: Advanced degree, ongoing education in computer science or a strong background in math/physics.

  • Skills: Knowledge of basic CPU/GPU hardware, and familiarity with high-performance computing. Understanding of hardware architecture related to C++ and performance optimization of CPU, GPU, and RAM. Experience developing for Virtual Reality headsets, and familiarity with GLSL or HLSL. Knowledge of OpenGL, Vulkan, or similar APIs.

  • Tools: Proficiency in Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, OpenSceneGraph, or VulkanSceneGraph engines. Experience with Nvidia Nsight or similar profiling tools.

Bonus Experience

  • Tools: Familiarity with 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or related modeling tools.

Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
