What Youll Be Doing

This role will provide critical project management oversight on high?impact Electric Utility substation and transmission line projects.

Project Management
  • Lead planning, engineering, construction, and closeout of substation and T-Line projects.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for a portfolio of utility projects.
  • Manage contractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, cost, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify risks early, recommend solutions, and drive proactive resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and utility standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary liaison with utility clients, EPC contractors, and regulators.
  • Facilitate project review meetings and provide clear, concise reporting to client leadership.
  • Build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders to align execution with client expectations.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, risks, and change management.
  • Deliver front?page quality reporting to clients and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project closeout documentation meets enterprise and regulatory standards.
What You Bring
Required
  • 5 years of direct experience managing end?to?end substation and/or transmission line projects.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Strong background in electric utility project lifecycles, planning through commissioning.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, contractors, and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Preferred
  • PMP or PE license.
  • Experience with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Public Utility Districts (PUDs), or EPC firms.
  • Hands?on experience in substation upgrades, new builds, or T-Line rebuild projects.
