Pharmacist - Closed-Door Pharmacy

As a pharmacist in a closed-door pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for residents in long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the growth of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor for drug interactions and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and nursing staff to support patient care.
  • Educate nursing teams on medication administration and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines.

Essential Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Active Minnesota Pharmacist license.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in geriatric or long-term care pharmacy.
  • Familiarity with LTC pharmacy software systems.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a long-term care pharmacy that is a mix of office and production space. You will be part of a small group setting.
  • The schedule is full-time, 4 days per week, with varying hours between 7:45 AM and 6:00 PM. There is a rotating weekend every 7th weekend and on-call responsibilities one night every other week and during your scheduled weekend.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Owatonna, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
