Kiewit Industrial Group is looking for a MEP Project Manager that can lead various projects more than $500 million for vertical buildings in the Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) markets of semiconductor, data center, and battery manufacturing facilities. Duties include but are not limited to leading a team of estimators, participating in and implementing win strategies, preparing conceptual estimates using historical and current market data and metrics, presenting estimates to executive management and clients, reading and interpreting documents, soliciting subcontractors, analyzing drawings and specifications, providing lowest cost design options for the lowest cost installation of construction, value management, reviewing and assisting with proposals, and other duties as required to prepare cost estimates/proposals for various types of work, including self-perform.

Cherne Contracting is one of Kiewits oldest districts. Founded in 1916, Cherne is a valuable part of Kiewit and is known for safety and quality of execution across multiple market sectors including the Advanced Technologies market sectors. This district supports our rapidly growing Industrial division.

Kiewit Industrial is a rapidly growing team, a multi-faceted and leading-edge division focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF), Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.

This is a full-time position, supporting projects across North America. The role requires travel to project locations for the duration of the project, as well as to Kiewit offices as required. Project location and durations may vary around the United States and Canada. Relocation to longer-term projects and per diem options for shorter duration projects are available.

• Provide guidance to estimators and engineers in the development phase of a collaborative contract model. Own the project schedule/scope and budget as it advances into construction.
• Participate in task force meetings with designers and engineers to bring constructability to the project solution.
• Develop the logic behind the project schedule (sequencing, work breakdown structure).
• Communicate and present details to executive management, permitting agencies, stakeholders, and owners; keep stakeholders informed of project status through regular meetings and reporting.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to evaluate risks and opportunities; engage with engineers to ensure the design process is on schedule. Interface project controls/finance to ensure the project stays on time, within budget and risk is minimized.
• Review and assist with proposals with the BD team; work with the estimating team for various components to evaluate best value and options.
• Support the selection of key subcontractors and trade partners for the project.
• Demonstrate excellent collaborative behaviors in a multi-stakeholder environment and foster a culture of innovation.
  

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering/technical disciplines and at least 8 years of Project Management experience for engineering/construction projects. If no degree, at least 12 years of PM experience on engineering/construction projects.
• Ability to generate conceptual estimates for the Advanced Technology Facilities Construction market.
• Ability to lead estimates and multiple matrixed teams of engineers, project controls/schedulers assigned to your project.
• Strong work ethic, with a focus on quality, safety and innovation.
• Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills. Demonstrated success as a PM delivering projects on time and within budget while minimizing risk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, agility to work at all levels, and emotional resilience.
