Authorization Specialist

Cooperative Home Care is actively recruiting an Authorization Specialist who will also handle key administrative assistant duties. The salary for this position is $50,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Running authorization verifications on home care referrals and pending clients
- Reporting the status of referrals to team
- Monitoring clients for authorization changes or expirations
- Reporting authorization changes or expirations to team
- Enter authorization payment sources
- Maintain most accurate and timely client eligibility information
- Assisting with client authorization utilization
- Serving as a Billing Department backup
- A college degree is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills to act as the liaison between our providers and staffing team.
- Highly organized and flexible management abilities in a fast-paced office.
- Successful experience meeting deadlines and requirements/regulations for all funding sources.
- Consistency and urgency in communications, contributing to efficiently opening client services, billing clients for services rendered, and addressing timely authorization problems promptly.
