Opportunity Details:

• Location: Pittsburg, KS
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift Schedule:
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Minimum Commitment: 5 shifts per month
• Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Department
• Compensation: Competitive Weekly Pay + Travel & Lodging Provided

Facility Details:

• Hospital Beds: 66 (staffed)
• ICU Beds: 12
• Cath Lab: 1 (24/7 availability)
• Trauma Level: III
• Stroke Center Classification: Emergent Stroke Prep Center
• Annual ED Volume: 15,000
• Average ED Patients Per Hour: 1.7
• ED Beds: 13 + 3 Fast Track Beds
• Admission Rate: 16-17%
• EMR System: EPIC

Subspecialty & Backup Support:

• General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Hospital Medicine
• Cardiology (STEMI cases kept in-house), Pulmonology, Neurology
• OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics
• Limited ENT, Limited Urology
• Tele-ICU Support for critically ill patients
• Imaging Services:
  • 24/7 CT & MRI
  • Ultrasound (Monday-Friday)
  • Radiology with Nighthawk Service at Night

Provider Requirements:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM) or
• Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) with Emergency Medicine Experience
• Active Kansas State License & Unrestricted DEA
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS
• Minimum 2 Years of Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred
