Registered Nurse - General Surgery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in General Surgery. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during their hospital stay. The position requires the ability to float within five hospitals based on needs and staffing circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients.
  • Monitor patient vitals and telemetry; collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist with the recovery process post-surgery.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, specifically in General Surgery.
  • Current NJ or Compact RN license.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Dysrhythmia test must be passed within 72 hours of signing.
  • First-time travelers accepted, though preferred candidates have specific travel experience.
