Job Summary:

Tetra Tech Inc. is seeking qualified Site Inspector Assistants in the City of St. Louis area to perform building inspections to capture field data and building conditions. The Site Inspector Assistant will conduct thorough site inspections using Matterport camera technology, collect geographic coordinates and field data using GPS devices, and collaborate with project teams to uphold safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
  • Conduct inspections of buildings, structures, and construction sites to capture relevant measurements, existing conditions and other relevant data.
  • Travel to assigned field locations to collect GPS coordinates using handheld GPS units, mobile applications, or surveying equipment.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly to ICC Certified Building inspectors, Cost Estimators, and project managers.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of inspections.
  • Manage data and input data into data management systems
  • Operate field data collection equipment such as tablet and camera.
  • Proficiency in using administrative software, databases, and other technology tools that facilitate inspections processing, documentation, and communication.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • Experience conducting site and building inspection data collection. 1 year of experience or more are preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to document inspection results thoroughly and accurately.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to inspection sites as required.
  • Able to work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong organization skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, have a flexible style, and be able to immediately adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to learn new products are needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certificate
  • Remote Pilot License in accordance with 14 CFR part 107
  • IS-559: Local Damage Assessment
Standard Schedule:
  • Full-time position.
  • Work hours typically 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexibility as needed for project demands. Hours could go up to 10 hours per day and 6 days per week.
