This position plays a crucial role in the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists engage closely with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, provide answers to their inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the most suitable solutions. Our specialists are dedicated to promptly addressing any customer concerns, ensuring optimal client satisfaction, and staying informed about product features, while maintaining the high quality and visual standards of our products and store.

In this role, you will interact with customers, which may include minors, and will have access to cash, various payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuable items. Due to these responsibilities, the Company requires a review of criminal history to safeguard our business operations and the well-being of our customers, staff, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and recommending products
  • Build and maintain trustful relationships with customers
  • Accurately process sales transactions
  • Meet and strive to exceed sales goals
  • Maintain organized work order files and formulas
  • Select appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • Tint and mix products as needed
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Maintain cleanliness of store equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks
  • Help with deliveries as necessary
  • Keep assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing
  • Stay informed on product offerings and available options
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures
  • Propose ideas to enhance sales

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work without needing sponsorship
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in retail or customer service
  • Experience selling paint and related products
  • Experience with tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish
