JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
• Title: Analyst II - Sales, Use & Property Tax Analyst
• Location: Minneapolis preferred (Denver possible but less ideal)
• Work Model: Hybrid (flexible; typically 2 days onsite, remote otherwise; fully remote considered for exceptional candidates)
• Experience: 4-6 years in tax-related roles
• Education: Bachelor's in Accounting or Economics preferred (flexible for contractors)
Key Responsibilities
• Filing and paying sales, use, and property tax returns and bills
• Processing ~3,000 property tax bills per jurisdiction (Minnesota & Colorado)
• Preparing property tax renditions and supporting work papers
• Assisting with sales and use tax audits (invoice pulls, taxability research)
• Reconciling data and providing explanations (final approval by team lead)
Preferred Background
• High-volume processing experience
• Utility, telecom, or railroad industry experience (nice-to-have)
• Large corporate/matrix environment experience acceptable
Technical Skills
• Required: Strong Excel skills
• Preferred: Avalara, SAP, PowerPlan (Alteryx mentioned but unlikely to be licensed)
