Join a dynamic team as an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer where you will apply your engineering knowledge and design expertise to support conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design projects. You will be part of a team recognized for its technical excellence in nuclear construction, waste treatment, and advanced clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering knowledge to support conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design projects.

• Originate and check standard I&C deliverables, including P&ID’s, Instrument Lists, IO Lists, Cause and Effect Matrix, control narratives, loop drawings, control system architecture drawings, and instrument datasheets.

• Create specifications for industrial control systems, instruments, and final control elements.

• Review submittals to identify and resolve discrepancies with the design.

• Collaborate with peers and utilize technologies to achieve project goals.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university in engineering.

• At least 7 years of job-related experience.

• Proficiency in using software such as SmartPlant, Revit, and AutoCAD.

• Experience with programming languages: Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text, and Sequential Flow.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to pass and maintain a basic security clearance.

• US Citizenship required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EIT or Professional Engineering License preferred.

• Knowledge of FAT and Commissioning procedures and oversight requirements.

• Experience with Studio 5000 Logix and the Factory Talk suite of programs.

• Experience in engineering construction support, startup, and commissioning.

• Knowledge of quality requirements such as NQA-1.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment, with 95% of work performed from a secure office setting. Telework is not an option for this role. You may be exposed to areas with high noise levels, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals, and industrial facilities. Commitment to safety and well-being is paramount. This is a Contract position based out of Idaho Falls, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
