PRIMARY PURPOSE:
  • To provide oversight, supervision and leadership to the Berry Support Complex Warehouse. This individual will schedule, coordinate, supervise, train, and review the work of warehouse foreman and staff to ensure a high standard of safety and efficiency of operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas CDL
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Possess extensive knowledge, ability, and experience in warehouse operations
  • Demonstrate successful leadership skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong computer skills, including email, word processing and, spreadsheets
  • Possess ability to prioritize and organize work responsibilities and schedules
  • Demonstrate time management skills with an orientation towards deadlines
  • Possess strong organizational skills essential to inventory and distribution efficiency
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable supervisor experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Check and accept or refuse shipments received
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in warehouse
  • Schedule deliveries to schools and departments
  • Responsible for proper care and maintenance of school vehicles and equipment assigned to the warehouse
  • Load and unload merchandise
  • Possess ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, dolly jacks, dock levelers, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor warehousemen and delivery persons
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
  • Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
Physical demands/environmental factors:
  • Working outside and inside.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Exposure to dust and chemicals.
  • Walking, standing, climbing, carrying, squatting, kneeling.
  • Lifting heavy objects up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Reaching above shoulders.
  • Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm or finger motion.
