Vermilion Association for Special Education The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full or part-time school counselor to provide counseling services to students with and without disabilities for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Positions will be available for the upcoming 2025-26 school year as well Duties would include the completion of social developmental studies, student assessments, and implementation of individual/group counseling. The school counselor would also assist in writing IEP goals for students with counseling needs. Training will be provided, if needed, on IEP writing. No travel is required. The position is at Oakwood High School
A $2000 per year stipend is offered to those with a National Board Certification. Board paid TRS and single health care coverage. Pay begins at the MS+45 level for all counselors $3,000 sign-on bonus and $1,500 retention bonus every 3 years
Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators Licensure in School Couseling is preferred, but a LCP or LCPC will be considered. Tuition reimbursement is available for courses towards ISBE certification.
