This is a full-time position which includes every other weekend.
Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm or 11am - 7:30pm (including every other weekend)

Laurel Circle is seeking a hospitality focused Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our culinary team. This position supports the dining functions of a campus by providing various services in the areas of food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and the receiving and storage of supplies under the supervision of the Executive Chef / Director of Dining Services.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Kitchen Utility Worker:
  • Assists the Executive Chef / Directory of Dietary Services with the calculation of food and supply inventory.
  • Attends to kitchen spills quickly and keeps the floor and surface areas clean and free of debris.
  • Assists in preparation of meals. Manages portion control and proper diet requirements (including special diets).
  • Follows sanitation programs/schedules including daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and sanitation inspections.
  • Keeps food items from possible contamination and spoilage with proper covers, dating/labeling, storage and by keeping food at safe temperatures.
  • Assists with the receiving, inspection and storage of supplies.
  • Removes trash from all kitchen areas and monitors all garbage cans and garbage sites related to dietary services.
  • Washes, scrubs and dries all dishes, utensils, beverage containers, beverage, food carts, and cooking pots, containers and pans.
  • Manages dishwashing stations and ensures that all chemicals register correctly following approved State and company guidelines.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and equipment checks on all dishwashing equipment in the kitchen area.
  • Transports dishes back to the main kitchen for cleaning.
  • Other duties as assigned, sets up and breaks down member/resident events..
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.
