Pharmacy Operations Supervisor

As a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing the daily non-clinical operations of the pharmacy, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow that enhances the patient experience. In this position, you will serve as a certified pharmacy technician and work closely with pharmacists to oversee pharmacy staff and processes while adhering to all state and federal regulations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day pharmacy operations, focusing on administrative tasks to optimize pharmacy workflow.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and cashiers, setting clear expectations and managing performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting patients, resolving complaints, and anticipating needs for improved service delivery.
- Assist with patient care activities such as registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
- Ensure compliance with business policies, conducting necessary reporting and inventory management.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in driving operational excellence and financial performance of the pharmacy.
- Manage the scheduling and development of pharmacy staff, ensuring timely training completion and adherence to regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
- One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Prior experience with Walgreens and a strong performance evaluation record.
