The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is a mobile, uniformed law enforcement organization within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Southwest Field Office (SWFO) requires highly qualified subject matter experts to provide essential support for logistics, asset management, property management, and warehouse operations. These experts maintain the technical, supervisory, and administrative staffing necessary to meet delivery schedules and support the SWFOs mission.

Responsibilities

• Manage extensive warehouse logistics operations, including receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate shipments, monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses, and adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Set up and tear down designated events, ensuring all logistical and operational requirements are met for seamless execution.
• Perform minor facility enhancements and improvements to maintain the Technology Support Warehouse environment.
• Conduct thorough inspections to verify proper completion of facility work orders and that all maintenance, repair, and enhancement tasks meet established standards.
• Assist with inventorying incoming and outgoing program-specific equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all items, and support inventorying of equipment for disposition with detailed records.
• Complete monthly Health and Safety Inspection Sheets, review and document all relevant safety checks, and update the UTOC Health and Safety Teams page with accurate, current information.
• Oversee daily fleet operations, including fuel and maintenance invoice processing in SAP, maintaining fleet folders, ensuring vehicle readiness through inspections, cleanliness, and fueling, preparing vehicles for disposition, coordinating with San Angelo on fleet usage and repairs, and transporting government vehicles for maintenance, repairs, and deployment.
  

Property Management Support

• Execute the full range of responsibilities as a Local Property Officer (LPO) within SAP, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing proper handling and accountability of assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and technical support to personnel, monitor property-related activities, and implement procedures to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the property management process.
• Assist with comprehensive asset management support services, covering acquisition, maintenance, and disposition, including receipt of package deliveries and detailed inspections to confirm item completeness.
• Support deployment and sustainment activities, ensuring tasks are carried out per established requirements, industry standards, and program objectives, including planning, execution, and monitoring of system deployments, civil buildouts, and sustainment operations.
  

Additional Duties

• Escort Duties, Cargo Security, Inventory and Disposition, Forklift Support, and Vehicle Transportation.
• Flexible Work Schedule: available to work occasional weekends as needed to fulfill mission requirements, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
  

Qualifications

• Must pass a DHS Customs and Border Protection background investigation.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration.
