Must have Heavy Haul Experience

Aspen Custom Trailers is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support existing and new customers in California, Arizona and Nevada. You will be selling our line of heavy haul trailers and transporters to clients across all industries including specialized transportation, construction and forestry. This is an established Aspen territory, we have been supplying customers in this area for over 40 years and are very excited to have a dynamic sales person join our team.

Our industry leading technical training doesn't stop there, it's ongoing throughout your career at Aspen. Our sales team is supported by the most reputable and experienced engineering and management team in the industry. Our monthly sales targets are just high enough to be both motivating and achievable. Our compensation is a competitive combination of base salary plus commission program with a vehicle allowance, smart phone, laptop and benefits.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships in your territory. If there is a trailer being purchased in your territory, you will know about it. You will work closely with Aspen's Sales Engineering team to quote on new sales opportunities. You will gather market intelligence and report activity from your territory on a weekly basis. Your performance will be measured by monthly sales targets. Travel throughout the designated territory is required. Your time will be split between working at a home-based office and travelling in your territory.

Responsibilities
Primarily sell Aspen stock and price book units.
Sell standardized products across your assigned customer base and territory.
Manage your territory.

  • Reach customer call targets on a consistent basis
  • Reach quote targets on a consistent basis.
  • Achieve sales quota
  • Manage customer relationships from initial lead to delivery
  • Maintain reports and systems assigned to the seller
  • Provide competitive intelligence
  • Provide industry intelligence within your territory
We're looking for someone with more than just territory sales experience, our next hire understands heavy haul:
  • If you're interested in a career in sales and you have heavy haul or industrial experience, we want to hear from you
  • You may have 3-5 years of sales experience in an industrial environment
  • You may have 3-5 years of heavy haul dispatch experience including load and route planning, as well as permitting
  • You may have 3-5 years of heavy haul driving experience
  • It goes without saying, your professional presentation, communication skills and computer skills are top notch
  • Technical Sales Reps at Aspen require an acceptable late model vehicle and valid driver's license
