Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered care in long-term care settings. You will assist with daily living activities while being supervised by a registered nurse (RN), delivering age-appropriate care per care plan requirements. You will also:
- Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
- Obtain and record vital signs, and offer psychosocial support.
- Assist in resident mobility, including transferring and repositioning.
- Create a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and communicate changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with wellness and recreational programs.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
- Minimum age of 16. Clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state-certified CNA within four months.
- Complete yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum of 12 hours annually).
