Maintenance Technician (AL)

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are looking for an energetic, motivated and results oriented individual to join our Maintenance Team in Pell City, Alabama.

Salary Range: $26.40 - $38.60 hour

Qualifications: A minimum of 2 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in the following areas:
  • Electrical
    • Controls
    • Low and Medium AC and DC voltage
    • Motors
    • Instrumentation
    • Electrical print reading
  • Mechanical
    • Drive Systems (V-belts, gears, chain drives, gearboxes)
    • Bearing installation and maintenance
    • Couplings & shaft alignment
    • Packing and seals
    • Lubrications
    • Dust collectors and fans
    • Mechanical print reading
  • PLC aptitude
    • PLC trouble shooting and repair
  • Hydraulics
  • Air Compressors
  • Forklift and battery maintenance
  • Docks and Overhead door maintenance
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, along with good interpersonal capabilities
  • Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative
  • Able to work in all types of conditions (heights, cold/hot, dirty, confined space, etc.)
  • A strong working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (work order, purchasing and inventory) and a general knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance are preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
