Description - Your Role in the Lab
- Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory assessments-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-adhere to established guidelines.
- Evaluate test results with keen attention to detail, address errors, and ensure lab instruments are well-maintained and calibrated.
- Support specimen collection and prepare samples for examination when necessary.
- Thoroughly document all processes, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining lab quality measures.
- Ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment, abiding by all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar allied health degree paired with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be acquired within the first year of employment.
- Maintain relevant certification throughout your tenure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless interaction with healthcare colleagues.
- Ability to apply independent judgment and solve issues in high-pressure situations.
