A dynamic partner hospital is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their compassionate and skilled team in Newport News, VA. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat urgent care cases, including illnesses, injuries, and other emergencies.
  • Provide medical care, administer treatments, and prescribe medications.
  • Perform necessary procedures and surgeries (excluding abdominal surgeries).
  • Maintain thorough and organized patient records.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated veterinary team to ensure optimal care for all patients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and pet health.
Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program.
  • Active veterinary license in good standing to practice in Virginia (or ability to obtain one).
  • Experience in urgent care medicine is preferred but not required. Special consideration will be given to new graduates.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and the veterinary team.
  • A commitment to high-quality care and a Fear Free approach to handling animals.
