Senior Municipal Engineer

A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking an experienced Municipal Engineer to join its growing municipal infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a wide range of public works projects that directly impact local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects
- Oversee project design efforts and provide technical guidance to engineering staff
- Design improvements related to streets, utilities, drainage, and municipal systems
- Perform street studies and evaluations for new and existing roadway systems
- Apply traffic engineering principles to the design of signage, signals, and roadway features
- Prepare and review technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
- Maintain project databases and mapping systems
- Provide field engineering support, conduct site visits, and make on-site recommendations
- Participate in project meetings and support coordination with clients and internal teams
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project success
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or close to obtaining
- 6+ years of experience in municipal engineering design and project delivery
- Strong knowledge of water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation, and OpenRoads
- Familiarity with stormwater modeling software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines
