Business Unit Leader

Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of production employees on the 1st shift in a food manufacturing environment. You will drive process improvements, ensure production key performance indicators (KPI) goals are met, and foster a culture of safety, quality, cost, and engagement. You will manage resources effectively and create an environment that supports operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple production lines in a cell daily production to maintain quality, productivity, and cost standards.
- Train and develop team members to ensure job responsibilities are performed effectively.
- Support sanitation operations to maintain a clean and food-safe environment.
- Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures consistently.
- Evaluate team performance and provide coaching for improvement.
- Promote and maintain compliance with safety programs, including lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and confined space entry.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded.
- Manage projects focused on root cause analysis and lead Kaizen events to drive sustainable process improvements.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a fast pace, manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in food processing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and plant safety standards.
- Familiarity with SAP and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma-Green Belt, TPM)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation:
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
