About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a go-getter who loves variety, thrives on change, and can jump in wherever the team needs an extra hand. The Café Support Lead is a dynamic role that supports both front and back of house operations across all Hutch + Waldo venues - filling in for team members, helping during busy shifts and keeping things running smoothly.
This role is perfect for someone who’s initially experienced in the BOH and wants to grow their skills FOH - learning coffee systems, guest service and café operations while staying connected to food and prep work.
You’ll get to work across all three of our locations (and our Commissary), supporting teams, picking up new skills and keeping the Hutch & Waldo vibe consistent wherever you land that day.
What You’ll Be Doing
Jump in to support daily service across multiple venues - FOH and BOH.
Step into counter, runner, expo or barista roles as needed.
Support the kitchen team with prep, line cook duties, and porter coverage when required.
Keep service smooth, consistent, and in line with Hutch & Waldo standards.
Communicate with Venue General Managers & Head chefs + Ops team about daily coverage and needs.
Fill hours at our Commissary when not needed in-store - helping with prep, production and whatever the Commissary Lead needs support in at the time.
Continue developing FOH + coffee skills through ongoing training provided.
Be available for short-notice shift coverage when a cafe team needs support.
