Release Train Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join our client's team in the tech sector. In this role, you will contribute to leading and facilitating an Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, and maintaining alignment with enterprise Agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating ART events and processes.
- Coordinate and manage program-level ceremonies, including PI Planning, System Demos, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
- Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment across business and technology objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across Agile teams and ensure adherence to SAFe principles and best practices.
- Support program execution, including tracking delivery progress, identifying risks and dependencies, and escalating impediments as needed.
- Collaborate with the PMO to ensure program reporting, governance, and project management standards are met.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Scrum Masters and Agile teams to strengthen Agile maturity.
- Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams and leadership.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification (required).
- 15 years of professional experience in software delivery, including significant experience in Agile environments.
- 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or RTE with at least 3 years in a Release Train Engineer role.
- Demonstrated success leading Agile Release Trains or large-scale Agile programs.
- Strong knowledge of SAFe principles, Agile methodologies, and Lean practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the PMO.
- Experience working in financial services, technology, or similarly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Jira or ServiceNow.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or other Agile/Project Management certifications (a plus).
