Project Control Technician

Our client is seeking a Project Controls Technician to provide critical support in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting activities. The role ensures that project execution is aligned with company objectives, industry standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and project controls specialists with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

• Maintain and update project schedules using software tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

• Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to support accurate reporting.

• Monitor costs, commitments, and expenditures; identify variances and support corrective actions.

• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, including cost and schedule performance metrics.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

• Support project change management by tracking scope changes, impacts, and approvals.

• Ensure compliance with Air Products' project controls processes, procedures, and best practices.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to gather project data.

• Maintain project documentation, logs, and databases for cost and schedule control.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost analysis (industrial or construction projects preferred).

• Proficiency in project controls software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, SAP, or equivalent).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
