- During initial license training, total compensation ranging from $159,000.00 to $182,000.00 per year (based on experience and past license status), including a 15% annual incentive bonus, sign-on bonus, and $10,000 bonus spread across training milestones.
- Upon obtaining the Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license, total compensation eligibility from $191,000.00 per year, including a target 15% annual bonus and extended hours pay at 1.5 times the base salary for mandated shift coverage.
Relocation Assistance: We may offer relocation assistance based on the company's policy.
Constellation is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators (SRO). This position will be based at Nine Mile Point Generating Station in Oswego, NY. The primary objective is to train and prepare for the role of an Operations Shift Supervisor, holding an SRO license. Upon successfully completing the required training, candidates will be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to oversee the licensed activities of reactor operators in the control room.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in Initial License Training (ILT) encompassing classroom learning, examinations, and on-the-job evaluations.
- Successfully navigate all training phases to obtain an SRO license, enabling performance of Operations Shift Supervisor duties.
- Carry out additional job assignments as directed by management, including emergency response and departmental coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Meet one of the following criteria:
- 1 year of Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility, or 1.5 years at a non-comparable facility.
- 1.5 years in a Reactor Operator or Supervisor role at a military reactor, with 1.5 years post-qualification.
- A degree from a 4-year program in engineering or physical sciences, with 1.5 years as a qualified non-licensed operator or supervisor in relevant fields.
- Maintain access requirements, along with a favorable medical examination as per position responsibilities.
