Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: LPN Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 35 Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice in Arizona as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Certifications: Infection Preventionist Certification required Must-Have: DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required Valid driver's license required Description: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse. This position can either be filled by an RN or LPN. The team is flexible on the schedule. Shift options available include 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM. Work schedule consists of 8 hours, Monday through Friday, with varied weekends as needed. Responsibilities include overseeing quality assurance, staff education, and infection prevention. The role involves the implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to quality assurance using guidelines and regulations. Key duties include gathering and analyzing data to monitor compliance across all disciplines and departments. The nurse will review monthly reports and develop performance improvement plans where necessary. Preparation and distribution of reports and statistical analyses to facility staff are also required. This position assists in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Monitoring facility plans for correcting deficiencies is part of the role. Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulations is essential. Investigating incidents of non-compliance and allegations of resident abuse and neglect will be required. Coordination of facility preparation for surveys is also part of the job. Chairs and coordinates internal Quality Assurance Committee meetings and Infection Control Committee meetings. Identifying training needs and developing educational programs for staff related to quality assurance is expected. Maintains records to document training and compliance with regulations. Conducts infection control surveillance and confirms compliance with individual care plans for residents. Keeping current with information and educational opportunities is essential for this role. Knowledge needed includes principles of management and administration, quality assurance methods, and nursing home regulations. Skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities are required. The ability to analyze and interpret data, work collaboratively, and coordinate training programs is essential.
