The Neuro Progressive Care Unit delivers advanced care to minimize the impact of strokes, facilitating recovery to regain health and functionality. Recognized by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis Center, we treat over 1,200 stroke patients yearly, making us the #1 stroke center in Missouri for two consecutive years.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all unit functions. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies, serving as a resource for staff and ensuring an outstanding patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes to enhance patient experience.
• Engage with subject matter experts and leadership to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance staff engagement and performance.
• Assist with staff scheduling and patient rounding as needed.
• Manage patient care assignments based on patient needs.
• Mentor and guide new nurses in their professional development.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Registered Nurse Diploma required.
