4 days on, 3 days off

Monthly rotation from days to nights

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School or GED (2 year Technical Degree preferred).
  • 2 years experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality methods and procedures.

  • Instron / Tinius Olsen (Tensile/Elongation)
  • Tear Tester
  • Microscope (manual and Digital)
  • Camera
  • Spectrophotometer
  • Press and Cutting Dies for samples
  • Calibration Tools
  • Paro-Tester
  • Tape Measure / Ruler (300mm/2000mm)

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for completing quality inspections as required supporting the daily production schedules.
  • Responsible for all testing and that they are being done according to department quality and company standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Assist and provide quality inspectors and production team members with data to support problem-solving efforts.
  • Quality tech will assist and provide data analysis and testing to support with resolving customer concerns and questions.
  • Analyze all the test data results and provide recommendations to quality inspectors for product quality approval and lot release to finished goods status.
  • Responsible for clear communications with quality inspectors and production team members on all shifts.
  • Attention to detail is necessary for the Quality Tech.
  • Quality Tech must be available to work weekends and overtime as required and as scheduled by team leader and management.
  • Responsible for all quality samples collected from the production floor for audit and sampling purposes.
  • Quality Tech will understand the function, methods, and operation of all test equipment.
  • Teamwork with all plant departments is necessary in the Quality role.
  • Understand and be proficient with all quality specifications and methods requirements for each film type and grades being produced.
  • Quality Certificate of Analysis generation, review, and signature approvals.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hand / Eye coordination required.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
  • Walking
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs.
LICENSES AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • Quality Technician Certification, Problem Solving, Data Analysis, Test Methods and Procedures.
