Inventory Management Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Management Specialist to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of inventory control and customer service. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing, monitoring, and training on inventory best practices across the store, including both front and pharmacy departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy inventory operations, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
  • Champion On-Shelf Availability by overseeing in-store inventory processes such as receiving, counting, pricing, and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with planogram accuracy and inventory systems, maintaining precise on-hand balances and pricing.
  • Implement cash handling and store opening/closing procedures in the absence of management.
  • Engage customers with outstanding service, resolving issues and creating positive shopping experiences.
  • Coach team members on efficient warehouse and vendor inventory management processes.
  • Accurately scan deliveries during vendor visits, report discrepancies, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Verify pharmacist inventories and ensure correct posting of pharmacy and prescription claims.
  • Conduct end-to-end On-Shelf Availability processes and manage disposals and returns before expiration.
  • Update and maintain documented inventory records, including the organization of invoices/receipts for all inventory activities.
  • Assist in preparation for physical inventory and support auditing processes, maintaining clean and organized displays.
  • Support package delivery activities and ensure compliance with all company policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Six months of prior work experience at Walgreens or one year in retail.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and manage execution effectively.
  • Experience in addressing operational issues and implementing solutions.
  • Preferred backgrounds include roles such as shift lead, pharmacy technician, or customer service associate.
