Overview

Summary:

The VP of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for creating and implementing strategic and operational objectives for Procure to Pay, MMIS and Logistics departments within supply chain for the enterprise. This position has accountability for purchasing, accounts payable, logistics, and system management.

The VP drives overall performance for these areas of supply chain supporting the overall goals established by PHS.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, or other associated discipline. Masters degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

10 + years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Operations

*Create and implement Supply Chain strategy and operations for the enterprise, including 9 hospitals, over 100 clinics, a health plan, PresNow urgent care centers, etc.

*Implement and support cost savings strategies across the enterprise

*Support the negotiations and contracting for market competitive pricing in supplies, services, and equipment

*Analyze relevant supply chain metrics to ensure optimal operating and financial performance

*Accountable for logistics for all supply chain functions for the enterprise

*Support regulatory and emergency management activities associated with supply chain

*Identify potential strategic vendor partners to include key distributors

*Responsible for daily Procure to Pay functions for all PHS entities to include purchasing, accounts payable and expense reimbursement.

* *Monitor and manage departmental budget analyzing and addressing any budget variances

*Analyze and drive performance from monthly reported KPI's via responsible teams. Remove barriers and assist in cross departmental collaboration to improve processes driving KPI's.

*Support monthly operating reviews addressing supply and service variances *Implement, track, and monitor cost savings or revenue enhancement initiatives for Procure to Pay, MMIS and Logistics Departments

*Implement action plans to address any financial variances or operational gaps

Leadership and Management

*Responsible for day-to-day decisions and activities

*Maintain understanding of industry trends through educational seminars, workshops, and professional organizations

*Participate in organizational discussions sharing industry leading practices professionally and collaboratively

*Establish effective and collaborative relationships with key administrative stakeholders

*Responsible for implementing regulatory, financial, environmental, clinical, and legal requirements in accordance with appropriate governing entities

*Serve as mentor and role model for team members

*Support employee related programs centered around education and recognition *Dedicated to an environment of continuous process improvement
