Precision Fabrication Welder

Join our team as a Precision Fabrication Welder, where you'll be a key player in the precise TIG welding and fabrication of custom chambers and components based on customer-supplied drawings and blueprints. We're looking for skilled individuals who thrive in a detail-oriented environment, delivering high-quality work with tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual fabrication tasks including port alignment, scribing, cutting, coping, tacking, tuning, and welding while adhering to strict tolerances (+/-.010 and 0.5% angular).
- Collaborate closely with machinists throughout all phases of the manufacturing process.
- Utilize Argon gas and follow TIG welding procedures to proficiently connect metal components.
- Position and clamp metal parts securely for optimal welding results.
- Perform fusion welds, fillet welds, and butt welds with full penetration.
- Identify and apply the correct weld settings and filler rod selection for different materials.
- Produce vacuum-tight welds in complex and hard-to-reach areas of chambers.
- Understand the proper order of operations, particularly with respect to the main datum point and hole penetration sequencing.
- Carefully review and adhere to blueprints, focusing on intricate details.
- Effectively solve practical problems, navigating various concrete variables with limited standardization.
- Interpret and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
- Respond positively to direction from supervisors.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail throughout all tasks.
