Opportunity Overview:

12 - 16-month onsite contract opportunity for a Procurement Technical Specialist - Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Avila Beach, CA. US Citizenship or Permanent Resident of the US is required. Per diem is available.

Your Day-to-Day:

As a Procurement Technicial Specialist you will provide solutions to challenges associated with commercial nuclear power plant systems and components. Our civil nuclear business provides nuclear reactor vendors and utility operators with integrated, long-term support services and solutions spanning the whole reactor lifecycle, from concept design through to obsolescence management and plant-life extension.

Create, and submit engineering documentation.

Collaborate with a multi-discipline team while driving to improve group capability on our Nuclear Power Plant Technology.

Contribute to multiple customer departments outside of immediate area. Working within project constraints to meet project delivery deadlines.

Perform technical and quality reviews for procuring materials and services.

Classify Material and Services.

Develop inspection plans and characteristics.

Implement and perform cross-discipline review of equivalency evaluations and other engineering design documents.

Create quality information records and Document Management System documents.

Maintain bills of material and perform updates to the component database.

Develop material purchase specifications

SAP experience.

Who You Are:

4 years' experience in in related supply chain, nuclear power, or technical knowledge

Bachelor's degree in electrical and I&C

2-year associate degree in a electrical and I&C related discipline from an accredited university.

You must be eligible to receive and maintain unescorted security clearance at a Commercial Nuclear Facility

Prior unescorted security clearance authorization to work onsite at a Commercial Nuclear Facility

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $62.50 - $72 per hour.
