Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work with patient ratios of 1:4-5 during regular shifts and 1:6 on nights and weekends
• Every other weekend required for weekend coverage
• Minimum of 2 years Med Surg experience required
• Current Missouri or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: Current BLS & ACLS (must have at time of submission, no exceptions)
• Float to other units possibly required
• Care for patients across multiple age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage a 29-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Handle diverse patient diagnoses including diabetes, COPD, general surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, pneumonia, and general medical/surgical patients
• Work with telemetry monitoring for 14 beds (patients with history of A-fib, syncope episodes)
• Skills required: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, heparin and insulin administration, IV management, telemetry monitoring
• References and copy of certifications required for submission
• Return staff policy requires minimum 1 year absence before returning
