About the Role: As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting clients' mental health and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, maintaining precise documentation, and collaborating with various professionals. You will also engage in outreach activities to promote our services and draw in new referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify client needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Utilize standardized assessment tools to collect relevant information.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, their families, and the treatment team.
  • Establish measurable goals tailored to each client's specific requirements.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with professionals as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide holistic care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss client progress and strategies.
  • Offer immediate support during crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote mental health services.
  • Connect clients and their families with additional resources and support services as necessary.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new treatment modalities in mental health.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Maintain current professional credentials and training requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders regarding inquiries or concerns.

State-Specific Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required.
  • Must hold the appropriate professional license in your state.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children and/or families is preferred.
