We are seeking aLightning Protection Technicianto join our Lightning Protection Services team inNorcross, GA. You will perform inspections, repairs, and installations of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings, as well as generate reports and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has a strong construction or safety background, is comfortable working at heights, and is able to balance physical labor with basic office work.
Responsibilities:

Perform inspections, repairs, and installations of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings, including flat roofs, office towers, and skyscrapers.

Write detailed inspection and repair reports.

Safely climb ladders, access building roofs, and work at heights.

Operate hand tools (wrenches, drills, etc.) to perform repairs and installations.

Provide professional, timely communication with project managers and clients.

Work both independently and as part of a small field team to complete jobs on schedule.

Travel regionally (primarily GA, TN, FL) and occasionally nationwide for projects.

Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
-
1–5 years of work experience preferred; will consider motivated candidates with less experience or new graduates.

Construction background strongly preferred.

Safety knowledge (OSHA standards) preferred.

Ability to work in both office and field settings. (approx. 60% field and 40% office with fluctuations).

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email creation and grammar).
-
Physically able to lift ~50 lbs unassisted.
-
Comfortable working on commercial building roofs and climbing straight ladders. Working at heights is required.

Ability to work outside and perform physical labor (approx. 60% field and 40% office with fluctuations).

Repair work is physical labor, inspections are light labor, and the office setting is minor physical labor.

Field work in inclement weather is required.

Familiarity with hand tools.

Punctuality, timeliness, and flexibility with work hours (standard 7:30 a.m. start; typically an 8-hour day, but can include 12-hour days on rare occasions).

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet ATS driving record standards.

Ability to travel for projects (primarily southeastern U.S., occasional national).

Must be able to pass a physical exam, background check, and drug screening.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to access military bases and perform job duties.
