About The Position
We are seeking a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This 10-day opportunity begins on Jan 2, 2026, and features 12-hour shifts with a mix of days and nights; flexibility in scheduling is required. The position focuses on outpatient child psychiatry and requires prior experience in this setting. - Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm), mix of day and night shifts; providers must be flexible to cover shifts as assigned based on coverage gaps
- Provide outpatient psychiatric care for children with a variety of diagnoses, including:
- Psychotic disorders
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Substance use and dual diagnosis
- Personality disorders
- Adapt to varying day and night shift assignments based on hospital needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective psychiatric care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols
- Must have child psychiatry outpatient experience
- Active NY state license required
- Board certification in Psychiatry required
- Flexibility in shift work is non-negotiable
