Requirements for Temp-to-Hire:

- Tier 2: Mid-Level Mechanical / Maintenance Technician.
Summary:
- We are looking for a mid-level technician with a background in mechanical systems, basic electrical knowledge, and industrial equipment maintenance. This role requires independent work, handling conveyor systems, and effective troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems (belts, rollers, motors, drives, pulleys).
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanics and electricity, including motors, bearings, and belts.
- Replace bearings, belts, motors, pulleys, and other mechanical components as needed.
- Perform alignments, tension adjustments, and basic diagnostics.
- Collaborate with control systems, sensors, and limited PLC or automation systems (as applicable).
- Maintain maintenance logs, schedules, spare parts inventory, and documentation.
- Provide mentorship and support to entry-level technicians.
- Evaluate recurring failures to identify root causes and suggest improvements.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of mechanical or maintenance experience, ideally within industrial or warehouse environments.
- Hands-on experience working with conveyors, belt systems, motors, gearboxes, and rollers.
- Knowledge of electrical components (AC motors, wiring, sensors) is a plus.
- Ability to read mechanical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong independent troubleshooting abilities and sound judgment.
- Excellent documentation skills for maintaining logs and reports.
- A safety-first mindset with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Growth opportunities available to progress to Senior/Tier 3 roles, lead projects, and guide the mechanical team.
General Requirements:
Qualified candidates with arrest or conviction records will be considered in compliance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
While working in the warehouse environment through Bluecrew, your responsibilities may include:
- Working independently or as part of a team to pick, pack, and ship items.
- Safely relocating or repacking inventory items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Operating machinery or other equipment safely as trained.
- Engaging in physical activities such as reaching, crouching, and bending as required.
- Maintaining a fast-paced work pace while standing for the entirety of your shift.
- Comfortable working amidst forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Adhering to any established dress code, including wearing close-toed shoes and pants.
