Are you a hands-on software engineer who thrives at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and analytics? This role offers the opportunity to shape internal technology products that power investment decisions for a leading U.S. private equity platform.

This private equity firm manages tens of billions in assets and invests in consumer and business-service brands across sectors like food, retail, health & wellness, and education. They take a data-driven approach to identifying and scaling high-growth opportunities - and the software engineering team is central to that mission.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help architect and build internal tools and platforms that enable data-driven insights across portfolio companies. This is a highly visible role partnering with data scientists, strategy leads, and investment teams to develop scalable solutions supporting acquisitions, portfolio analytics, and due diligence.
You'll own projects end-to-end - from coding and infrastructure management to deployment and optimization - while mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy data-driven applications and internal web tools.
- Manage cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production environments.
- Collaborate with data science and strategy teams to deliver scalable, maintainable systems.
- Drive best practices across CI/CD, security, and observability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth and technical standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5-8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python (core language across all systems).
- Experience with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database administration.
- Some exposure to JavaScript; willingness to expand front-end experience.
- Background in data infrastructure, ETL, or analytics-heavy systems.
- Proven ownership of infrastructure - from local dev to production deployment.
You'll join a tight-knit group of ~16 professionals spanning Strategy, Consumer, Data Science, Product, and Software Engineering. The software team is lean, collaborative, and hands-on - with direct access to senior leadership and visibility into the firm's investment activity.

- Hybrid schedule - Atlanta HQ preferred; open to select states (GA, AL, NY, CO, FL)
