Pinnacle Private Credit is seeking an experienced Principal to lead lender relationships, originate institutional partnerships, and close an average of $5M–$50M private credit transactions. This is a senior, externally facing role for someone with a proven network in the private credit and lending ecosystem who thrives on relationship-driven origination and deal execution.

This role is NYC-based , with a strong preference for candidates who are eager to be onsite , embedded in the market, and actively building/obtain a high-value lender network across banks, private credit funds, and institutional capital providers.

Role Overview

The Principal will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing credit relationships while expanding Pinnacle's lending capacity and institutional footprint. This individual will act as a senior representative of the firm and play a critical role in scaling long-term capital partnerships.

This is not a support or internal-only role. The ideal candidate brings existing lender relationships , credibility in the market, and a demonstrated ability to close meaningful deal sizes independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and close private credit transactions and lending relationships averaging $5M–$50M
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with:
  • Banks
  • Private credit funds
  • Warehouse lenders
  • Family offices
  • Institutional capital partners
  • Lead lender discussions, negotiations, and execution from initial engagement through close
  • Expand existing lender relationships to increase capacity, improve pricing, and unlock new structures
  • Collaborate with internal investment, underwriting, and leadership teams to align credit strategy
  • Represent Pinnacle Private Credit at industry events, lender meetings, and strategic discussions
  • Serve as a trusted market-facing ambassador for the firm in the NYC private credit ecosystem

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in private credit, direct lending, specialty finance, or capital markets
  • Demonstrated ability to personally close $5M–$50M credit facilities or lending relationships
  • Strong existing network of lenders and institutional capital partners
  • Deep understanding of credit structures, risk, pricing, covenants, and leverage
  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy and ownership
  • NYC-based (or willing to relocate) with a strong desire to be onsite and relationship-focused
  • Backgrounds may include:

  • Direct Lending Platforms

  • BDCs or Credit Arms of PE Firms
  • Capital Markets / Structured Credit Teams
