This position will perform the following work under the direction of the Supervisor of the Test Distribution Unit:
• Assist in preparing, packing and shipping of examinations and field tests during the three administrations (January, June and
August) with addition to Elementary and Intermediate Level Examinations (Spring) and continuous shipping of NYSITELL
examinations.
• Prepping materials to be packed with examinations/field tests
• Packing lock boxes with appropriate examinations and non-secure materials based on the shipping notice(s) for each school.
• Packing of the field tests and additional materials
• Required to pick up and move containers/bins of exams that are being shipped to schools that weigh up to 70 lbs.
• Required to push/pull and maneuver skids of exams with pallet jacks (there are manual pallet jacks, battery powered pallet
jacks, and forklift trucks)
• Required to pick up boxes of paper that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• And other duties as assigned including office support and clerical duties.
Minimum requirements:Load, unload and move materials at plant, yard, or other work site. Keep records and compile stock reports.
Additional requirements:
• Complex job that does require a unique set of skills, such as clerical, computer and labor.
• Computer skills needed: Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to meet tight timelines.
